Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanju, has urged Nuhu Ribadu, the national security
adviser, to urgently order the arrest of former militant commander Asari Dokubo for his recent threat against Sim Fubara, the governor of Rivers state.Dokubo criticised Governor Fubara for ordering military personnel to disband a paramilitary group that he recently founded in a video that surfaced online on tuesday, July 25.
Asari was displeased with the governor's directive and said it openly. Speaking to his followers, Asari asserted that the governor will be held accountable no matter what he did. ''Boko Haram will be child's play,'' he claimed.
He added that the governor has no authority and that he is just an ordinary man like himself Asari.
In a petition addressed to the Ribadu, Adeyanju said Asari's comments should not be allowed to fly without proper prosecution. He called on the NSA to ensure that Asari is arrested with ‘’immediate effect for the threat to National security and utter disregard of rule of law''.
